QUANTITATIVE RESEARCH
When decisions need to be made the information needs to be robust. To develop the right platform for making informed decisions we draw on our quantitative research experts to design and execute the most appropriate research to fit the situation.
Quantitative research is a science and an art form. Carefully developing questions, understanding intuitive scales to use, confirming sample sizes and standard error, and capturing the right information in the right way is all a very considered process. Questionnaire design is a simple process, if the planning has been done correctly upfront. We need to think about what we want the information to give us, what analysis techniques we will be using, and how many segmentation layers we will need to interrogate the information. The analysis side of quantitative can be quite involved - much to the delight of our researchers. Funnily enough this seldom has anything to do with the number of respondents in a study. For example, Perceptive have run large nationwide quantitative studies that require basic top line highlights, demographic segmentation, and a few cross tabulations. And then we also have run smaller targeted studies that require conjoint analysis, multivariate regression, factor analysis, MCA, cluster analysis, and a series of other statistical techniques. Perceptive's researchers are versed and experienced in all major methods of statistical analysis and have all of the relevant software to conduct these types of processes. Basically, we have ensured that we have the skills onboard to give you the information you need in any format you need it (without having to bore you with the details - even though secretly we would love too). Our quantitative research skills are often put to use in our brand tracking and market segmentation services.
